If its going to be cold and you want to do star gazing, get close to the fire. We had a marvelous fire going during the night of the Geminid Meteor shower. The sky was perfectly clear. It could have been better. I had the rain flap pulled back and fell asleep watching shooting stars flame against the clear sky. I don't think there can be a better camping experience. This was at Concession Stand Camp Green Swamp.
