We headed out yesterday on the first real cold day of the year in Florida to retrieve two Reconyx RC60 covert trail cams. We had deployed them in areas where we knew there was an abundance of wildlife. We were not disappointed. The cameras had been in field for six months (May 13, 2013). Today was November 13, 2012 and we were very glad to find the cameras and that they had functioned properly.
There was one sequence of interest where something seemed to be stalking a flock of birds. The area did fill up with water, and became a total swamp. This was good for the presence of wildlife was massive. Anyway, here is one of the deer and one of many herds of deer that were photographed.

Reconyx RC 60 results from last spring 2012
This was six months ago before this area became a lake. The pig would have been under water. The last deployment taught us that wildlife loves the swamp area when its dry and that pigs don't swim. Without critters, the big guy stays out as well. :
We went back to trail cam "C" after three weeks in field. We loaded new batteries and switched out the media card. This game cam will sit out until November. That will the only time it will be possible to get back in there. The storm season is upon us in Florida and the water in the bugs will prevent any real access to this area. That is exactly what we want.
If this animal is a swamp beast, this will be the perfect environment for him. You can see by these pictures that the area is teaming with wildlife and other predatory animals. Food sources abound. Combine water, cover, vegetation and meat and you got a skunk ape paradise.
Kevin and I exchanged the old batteries for the new Copper Tops that should provide enough life until November. The purpose of this trial cam project is long term and months left in field is the ultimate goal. Short outings, even up to a month, is not reccomended by people with lots of experience doing this. The criptid can smell man like deer can. Your scent is left behind up to five days after you have left the area. You really want the area to be clear of your presence and let the trail cam "settle in" and become part of the environment.
For example, Derick Randles of the Olympic Project says they leave their cams in field for six months in very remote locations. It often takes overnight backpacking trips to reach them. They have to be marked with GPS coordinates so they don't lose any units.
That would be our ultimate goal with this project. Areas north of the Green Swamp such as Ocala National Forest would afford overnight backpacking to reach areas in the wilderness areas, far away from any campers with RV's.

Mother deer with with small baby...How cute!
The test deployment of the trail cams shows we have hit the mother load. Tons of deer showed up everyday on the camera. I have never seen an area do that. Often you can go a week for something to move. Look at this mother with her baby...How cute!

Bigfoot outing yields a strange result
It happened to be the coldest night of the year and after sunset, you could see your breath. That is not common in Florida.
We set up camp and found out we were the only one out there this night (just the way we like it). I got my tent set up and unloaded all of our gear. Keven even had a GoPro helmet cam that he experimented with on his mountain bike. He did not find anything, but I still think its a good idea.
After sunset, we headed out to do a night operation. There is belief that Bigfoot is nocturnal. I am not sold on that because of the many daytime sightings, including the Patterson film. Nobody can really prove any of this - it is all theory. Anyway, part of our objective was to do a night search along the river and where we found the dead pig last month, that looked like it had been torn up by a larger animal. I did hear Matt Moneymaker say something about that on the North Carolina episode of Finding Bigfoot.
We wanted to deploy a Reconyx RC60 trail cam, and leave it up for six months, but got sidetracked by other stuff. We have another cam on permanent deployment in the Green Swamp of Florida, and are getting some good results. At least we can track animal movements from day and night. When deer go nocturnal, that means they are being hunted hard. That may have something to do with Skunkape behaviour.
I was bundled up good and knew it was going to be very cold. With all the walking, I stayed warm and we soon were in the pig area. Kevin circled around and I checked it out. The pig carcass was gone and not even a trace. The first time we were there, no blood or anything else put just the rear section of the pig. We did not stay long here because we wanted to find the river before dark.
Kevin at the overlook around dusk. We could hear something hit the water like a rock being thrown.
Our timing was good because we got to the river just as it got dark. Then, we made an enigmatic discovery of a grave marker. My first thought was that it may have been from homesteader days. That would made the grave close to a century old, if not longer. The etching on it looked good, as if it was made with special tools.
The name was Henry Bear. I have contacts that have done research on that name and cannot find a death notice for that name in recent years anywhere in the state of Florida. There is no way to tell how old it is. It us up an incline and not exactly on the trail. The only reason we found it was becasue we were looking for an open area to secure the trail cam. However, it was just to thick in there.
Kevin tried calling out to Henry Bear while he was recording it on his video. I'm afraid I was filming also and just kept running my mouth. I really need shut up when someone is doing that. I am new to a new venture in the realm of the enigmatic. I guess that's how you learn.
We got some good video and I have been listening for what are called EVP's.
Electric Voice Phenomena have been recorded by paranormal researchers and they are possible communication from the departed. I see this show on cable where they seem to find them all the time. I did not have such luck. I can't really tell if anything is heard in the background other then an owl.
On the way back to camp, we did hear something large moving off to our right. I put a search light on it and Kevin went in. By the time I got my video camera out of my backpack, it was gone. That how it goes in the business.
It was very cold after midnight and we slept in our cars. Without a tent heater, forget about sleeping on the ground. Next time, I will be more prepared. This is the first of many such adventures, I hope. Anyway, the burgers, chicken and potato salad were great.

Does Skunkape kill its prey like this?
This was from Enigmaticanomalies.com
Today Kevin spent a good part of the day assisting Tim Fasano with trail-cam recovery. It was a beautiful day for a hike in the swamp and surrounding woods.
Upon finding one of the trail-cams they were both excited to see that the camera had picked up 93 images!
Please log on to http://www.seminoleproject.com to see these photos when they are uploaded.
During the hike Kevin found a couple of different odd things. The first thing I found was the skull of some small animal. At this time I am not sure what it is but I am sure there is someone out there who can identify it. Please help me as I am not a trained biologist!
The second is the back half of a hog. It was cleanly severed in half with only a small tear near the ribs. There was no blood on the ground and there was no sight of the front half of the pig.
I don't think this was done by a person as who would purposely leave the ham and ribs? It appeared to be twisted in half after its' back was broken. I don't know if a bear would kill like this or not but I am hopping that there might be someone who can shed some insight

Seminole Project proving swamp flood plane perfect sasquatch habitat

What is positive about all this is the hard work is paying off in verifying our tactics as being correct. It is just a matter of staying with a long term project to catch images of animals that just don't belong in Florida. A panther or wild cat would be an amazing discovery, as well.
Tomorrow I will show you how she reacted and why I think that is no matter for concern.

Seminole Project trail cam has images on it
I went back to the first trail cam that was deployed and found it had 39 images on it. How cool! This was considered the first major test of the device to ensure we are setting them correctly and we can now confidently deploy them for months. Long term is the way to ensure results. Areas need to be uncontaminated by humans. That is why we have worked so hard to find areas were nobody goes into.
Finding locations for these Reconyx RC60 cameras is harder work then I thought. Unlike regular 'squatching' where you are observing and recording your environment, with this project, you must go deeper then your comfort zone will allow to find a very remote area. We all believe the big guy does the same thing. It is time Bigfoot researchers start going into these areas and get off the trails. The Seminole Project has taught me that concept very well.
Here is a video of me after I found the camera and checked the batteries and hit count. There was a large pig in the area and I had to scare it off. Scat was also found in front of the camera. I was hoping to find something there.

The Seminole Project is now
Kevin and I spent the weekend putting up two trial cams in deep swamp areas. The areas we picked were lush with vegetation and water. They were secluded and nobody comes out here. Kevin has hiked this part of Florida most of his life and was amazed at just how deep into it we got. It was fun, but man was it a lot of work.
This is not easy. You must go deep and far away from people and civilization. If not, the study won't work. When you are finding animals, the people will not be around.
I have started a new YouTube channel that will be my primary channel now. It is called "Seminole Project." It will be a five year commitment to once and for all find evidence of the skunkape.

Day One of the Seminole Project Deep Field Bigfoot Trail cam deployment
This is a video of the area where we secured a spot to deploy our first trail cam. This area was very "squatch" or "skunky" so we went with it.

Enigmatic Anomalies TV show working with Tim Fasano on the Skunk Ape episode
I will be working in the field and doing studio work with a Tampa Florida based Paranormal research group that is filming a pilot for a cable TV series. Enigmatic Anomalies is the name and they have an office and studio in Tampa. Things are moving quickly and I am very excited about this project. Unlike "Finding Bigfoot" we actually find Bigfoot evidence.

I will be working with a new TV show Enigmatic Anomalies
| Areas we go into |
These guys are Bigfoot field researchers and have gone on many expeditions. Since they have been watching my videos on YouTube, they have narrowed their focus to the areas I go into. These areas are often infested with alligators and warnings are posted at the trail heads.
I hope to form an overnight camping using much of their high-tech gear. They have some good stuff. With the weather in Florida now getting cooler, it would be the perfect time to do this.
They have a Facebook page and a website both called Enigmatic Anomalies.
I am very excited about this because this may become a big deal. If not, I should get some great video to use on my site. They have agreed to let me use videos and photos and such.
Keven is my contact person and here is a photo of him o the trail of Bigfoot in the Green Swamp of central Florida. They have posted many photos of their outings for Skunk Ape on Their Facebook page. They also have found a large concentrated field of Bigfoot Footprints unlike anything I have ever seen. I am wanting to get out there as soon as Friday. Check out these prints.

A Massive treasure trove of Bigfoot prints found in the Green Swamp of Florida

The guys were camping in a SWIFMUD area (just as I do) when they came upon a tractor pull by the Florida Wildlife Commission. There was an extraordinary series of tracks unlike anything I have ever see. The most I have found (look on my banner) have been about two or three. This massive find includes dozens.
They had casting gear with them. You can see in the photo the cast setting.
Their website says "It was the impetus of Tim Fasano's work with Keven's thoughtful vectoring that found this place at this time." They were in a truck and Kevin was able to deduce a theoretical range of an elusive Cryptid.

Lesson number one in Skunk Ape hunting:
Always have a tape-measure or yardstick.
They did use a twenty dollar bill and quarter to give scale and took many photos while casting them.
Lesson two:
Bring a pedometer to estimate distance. The tracks they found went on for 1,500 feet.
At the campsite they talked to a couple that had been there a while and they said only a Boy Scout troop had been out there. I doubt if any of the kids have feet this big.
| I'd say there's a Bigfoot in these woods |
Lesson three: Interview any potential witnesses early in your investigation so you don't jump to conclusions
The video below shows how cool their production ability is and why I am excited about working with these guys in the future.

Sunset on the Green Swamp of Florida
In the area I worked last week day operations only set you up for what will happen after dark. The forest road I had found was going to be the focus of my night on the second day on Bigfoot expedition. let me tell you, when it dark out here, it gets dark man. I am sure you can sense from this video how creepy it would be.
I did multiple howls out here, but did not really get much back. I now thinking going out here and yelling like an idiot may not be the thing to do. Perhaps just listening with recording devices all night would be more productive. Anyway, it is very exciting and fun. I just need to bring a friend next time.

The Issue of Poisonous Snakes in Florida
![]() |
| On the look out for snakes |
The video below shows an encounter with a Viper when a Bigfoot research group and I were getting out of our vehicles. Darkness (which I will be facing next week) makes this kind of work very dangerous.

Alone in the "Land of Giants"
The primitive campsite I will be at next week (I got my permission today from the state of Florida) faces a river that was closed by SWIFMUD after a hiker vanished, and was never found. Bigfoot researchers for years witnessed strange things in there, and thought a find was close. Florida had other ideas and the area has now been closed since 2006.
No problem. The campsite area happens to look right at it. There is a river, so I will sound blast at night, and do call sounds, and aim my video. This area is vast, with miles of game trails, wooded areas, large prairies and swamps.
This is something I have been dreaming about for some time. My new wallpaper shows the swamp prairie were Biscardii put the peanut butter on the side of the tree when we worked in here last May. You can see the real beauty of this area. No matter what, it should be fun.
I have a van now which I will be sleeping in. I would be too vulnerable in a tent. Skunk Apes could rip it apart and kill me. At least in a van, they would have to bust the windows out and I would have time to start the engine and take off. Gee...explain that to insurance - giant apes busted out the windows and caused massive body damage.

Anatomy Of A Bigfoot Game Trail
![]() |
| Note the lack of overgrowth meaning very wide and tall animals are moving |
This trail leads down to a major river in Florida and it begins in an area of large Ferrel pig activity. A Bigfoot would have food and water at an inexhaustible supply. The permanent residents here may stay year long, hence the vegetation for cover, and the summer heat that keeps people out of here.
The forest ranger confirmed with me that this trail is not official, and not used by hikers. He speculates hogs made it. But, how do you explain the lack of overgrowth? Something much taller then me is forging this trail.
![]() |
| The opening into the Bigfoot trail |
Night operations would be the way to do this in both locations. I would want some type of FLIR or have others with me. I know how to get into this area after dark. We would be entering at our own risk - which would be considerable.
Long before Tiger wears red in the Masters, I want to form a team to work these areas. I know we are close to finding habitat areas of non-migratory skunk apes.

Large Game Trail Could yield results.
On the way out to find the animal trial that was made by very large beast, I found this area in the open that looked like something very large has been moving through often and creating much damage. In tracking, you learn that Bigfoot or Skunk Ape will do things in a big way. This area had be trampled like a stampede had moved across.
I took a picture of fresh break on a tree limb. That has to be new by only a few days. The grass was pushed down and the earth kicked up. It could be pigs, but when I combine this with the nearby trail that is very wide that elephants could go down, I have to consider everything.
Keep in mind that this area has not been worked in months because of the heat and the bugs. Animals have had their way back here. Trial cams would be the best way to find out what is leaving this destruction back here. You would not have to leave them up long. I believe this is nightly activity.
The trail I was looking for was only a few hundred feet away. This area is very active with something and I will do what I can in the next few months to find out just what that is.
What is strange is I ran into a forest ranger when he cam by on his ATV and we had a talk. I asked him about the trail up ahead and he said they were not sure what caused that trail. He said hikers have not been out here in months but something was maintaining it.
I felt good about that knowledge and know I am on the right track.

Finding Bigfoot Crew Searches For Bigfoot Today In Rhode Island
![]() |
| The "fab four" |
Finding Bigfoot is under the time constraints of a television production schedule, and fudging things would be natural. That is fine for the general public. It is not fine for dedicated researchers. We expect more. Our demographic is one that Matt Moneymaker must be aware of.
The show seems to stick to a type of formula they use in all of their episodes. It is starting to get old. They need to come up with new ways to present evidence. In my YouTube videos I am constantly brainstorming for new ways to present my evidence. Perhaps this is something Keith Hoffman should consider.
I have an idea. They worked with Todd Standing. Why not Tom Biscardi and me? We have something going down in Florida in the next couple of months. They would be well severed in coming down here. Keith, You Ratings would be off the chart!
"-- Bigfoot could be on the loose somewhere in the woods of western Rhode Island. And an investigative team and camera crew are tracking him down.via newsblog.projo.com
"Finding Bigfoot," a TV series on Animal Planet, is in West Greenwich on Thursday, looking for the so-called Sasquatch, hoping to capture the creature on film, or at least capture the comments of people who've reported sightings. And there are many, said Keith Hoffman, executive producer of the show.
The program organized a meeting Wednesday night, inviting West Greenwich residents who have had Bigfoot sightings to attend. "There was quite a big turnout," Hoffman said.
The TV series, which debuted this year with six episodes, is filming its second season, 10 episodes for 2012, Hoffman said. Each episode features a different state.
Already the show has visited Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Oregon, Washington and Alaska.
You wonder what's going on. If there's only one Bigfoot, why so many states?
"That is a misconception," Hoffman said. "There are many Bigfoots. The one in Rhode Island they call Big Rhody."
I really hope this, and other episodes don't follow the cheesy formula of eye-witness accounts, and re-creations that don't prove anything. I wish they would stop adding audio and be honest about it. Did Cliff really hear the three tree knocks or did they just pay him to say that? Is this show a hoax? Is is real? I think I know the answer.

Along An Old Horse Trail - Its Hot Man
| Horse Trail In Rural Central Florida |
I was on a horse trail south of an rural state road in Pasco county this weekend. It was very hot. It is late September in Florida but it may not cool of until next month. I don't want to wait for cooler weather. I am tired of putting my research on hold, so I was out there Saturday. I got a little sunburned, but found some interesting things. The habitat looks right for a large mammal to survive. The autumn weather will be better for visibility and overall activity.
You can see that this road stretches too the horizon. You can get a good workout indeed. That is one of the reasons I got into this anyway. I can really use the exercise. Bring your cell phone and leave a note on your cars dash so people will know you are out there in case something happens.

Dave Shealy Gets A Skunk Ape Reality TV Show On Discovery Channel
| Dave Shealy Owner Of The Florida Skunk Ape Museum and Research Center |
Dave Shealy is a friend of mine and I am glad he is getting a new reality TV show on Discovery channel, about the Skunk Ape in Florida. Attention needs to be called to this phenomena and Dave is the guy to do it. Dave owns the Skunk Ape research and visitor center on Alligator between Naples and Miami. It is in a desolate and uninhabited part of the state and home to many skunk ape encounters. BFRO has recorded these skunk ape sightings in Collier County and environs and I can't wait to see the show. You are right Shawn, not my turn this time. There is always next year, just ask the Miami Heat!
"35 years looking for the skunk ape.
This week, he’ll have company.
A film crew from California-based Authentic Entertainment, the production company behind reality TV shows Ace of Cakes (Food Network) and Flipping Out (Bravo) is in Ochopee to begin filming a pilot reality show intended for Discovery Channel in the fall.
Shealy, curator of the Skunk Ape Research Headquarters, has appeared on other shows about the legendary skunk ape, a yeti-like creature adapted to the wilds of South Florida, including "Unsolved Mysteries" and "The Daily Show."
He calls the Discovery Channel pilot the biggest project he’s worked on.
An Authentic Entertainment associate in Burbank confirmed that a film crew is in Florida on the project but the producers in the field declined to comment on the making of the show.
Shealy said they’ll employ a helicopter to get aerial shots and tour the 10,000 Islands by boat. Advanced technology, which he declined to describe, will be used as well, he said.
“The producers really want to put together a successful show,” he said.
Shealy knows not everyone buys the tale of the skunk ape, a 7-foot tall biped covered in hair and emitting a foul odor. The website for his Trail Lakes Campground on U.S. 41 in the Big Cypress Preserve, hosts an ongoing poll asking visitors if they believe in the creature’s existence. More than 25 percent of the 2,500 respondents either believe it to be a hoax or are skeptical.
But a majority either believe in the idea or find it plausible.
He says new information is surfacing all the time. “I’m hot on the trail,” he said, adding the fresh evidence points to the presence of a skunk ape around Sunniland. “New doors are opening. I look forward to bringing this to a close real soon.” Naplenews.com
