The reality of Lettuce Lake and Bigfoot

All of these images where taken in the swamps around Lettuce Lake Park. The only thing you need to ask yourself is would you go out here in a monkey suit? That is the only question. I think I know the answer. The Skunk Ape has adapted to this environment. You have not.

Controlled Burn

I sometimes come across smoldering underbrush. This was in the Withlacoochee State Forest. My understanding is that by controlled burns, they are actually helping the environment. It allows more sunlight in, and creates pathways for animals. Why try to control the environment? Can't they just leave mother nature alone? Man has caused enough harm, I believe.

You can see this will take years to recover. Its just an ugly scar and vegetation has been destroyed

Ocala National Forest prime Bigfoot area

Ocala is now on our radar. Kevin and Teri went up there this weekend and found a trove of footprints on friends private property. The wildlife prints were Turkey, bear, and deer. Marion county Florida has more reported sightings then any other county. We are already making plans for operations between October - April. This should raise our game to a new level.

New Images from Myakka

Myakka River State Park is a very wild place. You can see the real Florida the way it was 1,000 years ago before Europeans came to the area. Wildlife is in abundance and visitors are guaranteed to see alligators sunning on the banks of the Myakks River. Deer and wild turkey will walk right by you and pay no attention. That is one of the reasons this area is a popular destination point.
A large gator on the bank
There are 38 miles of trails that leed through the park, covering a varity of terrain. You will go into flood pine forest, then emerge into a vast Savannah of grass that stretches to the horizon. Then, find yourself in a cypress swamp dome. There is nothing boring about the hiking trails in this area.

Once in camp, you can settle back to relax and enjoy the night around the campfire stargazing. You can, like we did, go out looking for cryptids with your cameras and see if you can get an image. With two recent video sightings, and one confirmed class sighting on the BFRO data banks, this area is prime. The video below is Kevin and I after several hours of night exploration around the Mossy Hammock primitive camp area.

Wild turkey and uptight people in Myakka River State Park

On this video exclusive to this blog you will see a pack of wild turkey. Myakka River State Park is just full of them and they don't seem to worried about humans, considering there is no hunting in the park. I was filming these birds Saturday waiting for Stacy Brown to show up so we could begin with Skunk Ape follow up investigation of the YouTube video when this lady stopped her car and began talking to me. Another car pulled up behind and started yelling in a New York accent about "move the car."
You drive all the way down to Florida to see wildlife in a beautiful park and you still act like you are in the city. Chill out, relax, and smell the roses. Pulling off the road is what you do down here. You want to get out of your car and see the nature. It worked the other day when a group of people saw a Bigfoot chasing after deer. This lady has no clue and you can hear her yelling on this video. Its just a few feet from where the skunk ape video was taken.

What we found on the Bigfoot trail camera

We went back to trail cam "C" after three weeks in field. We loaded new batteries and switched out the media card. This game cam will sit out until November. That will the only time it will be possible to get back in there. The storm season is upon us in Florida and the water in the bugs will prevent any real access to this area. That is exactly what we want.

If this animal is a swamp beast, this will be the perfect environment for him. You can see by these pictures that the area is teaming with wildlife and other predatory animals. Food sources abound. Combine water, cover, vegetation and meat and you got a skunk ape paradise.

Enigmatic Anomalies stands up for Tim Fasano and the Seminole Project

Kevin Thomas Kehl
(A guest post from earshome.com)

Hi, I'm Kevin Thomas Kehl with Enigmatic Anomalies (yes, the spelling is correct).

I founded E.A.R.S. (Enigmatic Anomaly Research Society) several years ago with the explicit mission to study all things strange and paranormal. I/we would never hoax, embellish or stretch any story that we are working on. We don't believe in it and is part of our mission statement.

When I decided to create the webshow "Enigmatic Anomalies" to cover the hard work of others out in the various fields (including our own) I chose Tim Fasano because I had been following his videos on You-Tube for a while,he was local and seemed very knowledgeable on the subject of Bigfoot.
He was our first interview and was nothing short of a perfect gentleman.
Little did I know that it would turn into a working relationship.

Since that interview we have collaborated on several investigations with Tim and have NEVER seen anything that would lead us to believe that he was the hoaxer that everyone was making him out to be.

Since Tim has started his Seminole Project I have personally gotten more involved with his work.

I shot this pig video while on a mission to retrieve a media card from a trail-cam and is what "I" considered to be an anomaly.

Yes, it could have been any number of things that killed this pig, but since we were on a "bigfoot expedition" it seemed fitting to title the video "possible" bigfoot prey. Why not?
Is it exciting to think of it as such?
Sure! That's why we all do this. There is a level of excitement involved in all paranormal investigations but at the same time keeping a level head.

At no time did I or Tim say this is definitive.

Also, Tim did not lead me anywhere.
As a matter of fact Tim had no idea where we going to wind up as I was the one taking him down small unexplored paths and wound up miles from where he thought we were.
There is no way Tim cut the pig and placed it there.
You can lay that misnomer to rest.

I labeled it as an anomaly because of a collection of various reasons:

* Middle of the week, not a soul around. Not even in the parking area when we returned.

*Area off limits to hunters. If it was a hunter that did it, then it was a "poacher" and if so why leave the delicious baby-back ribs and ham? Just for a trophy head?

*The freshness of the kill with absolutely no signs of blood or other body parts. It had to have been killed within 24hrs.

*No tear marks on the upper portion of the body.
It was a clean cut. To me if it was an animal there would be tear marks all over. We were not near a water source so you can rule out an alligator.
Can a bear do that? I don't know.

Again, this does not absolutely make for a bigfoot kill. That's why I asked for suggestions at the end of the video.

I can't speak to experiences anyone else has had but mine with Tim have been nothing but positive.
He is genuinely interested in providing reliable information while at the same time shooting something that is not painstaking to watch.

I look forward to posting more stories and videos of our investigations and discussing the enigmatic anomaly of bigfoot further.

Seminole Project proving swamp flood plane perfect sasquatch habitat

She walked right in front of the camera
They say Bigfoot needs food, water, and cover to survive. He lives in remote areas, and perhaps, only moves out of his comfort zone when migrating. The results from the Seminole Project using a Rerconyx RC60 shows the flood plane they are in fits all of the criteria. The project wants their cameras to be very remote, Tim Fasano has even removed it from spots to go further out. With the help of Kevin, They have gotten into areas Fasano has not seen before. This plan of attack seems to be working.

Tim Fasano in field
Images are now coming in from the project that prove this area is rich and teaming with wildlife. The other night a wild hog was captured by the camera, and now, a group of deer were moving through. In the picture above, you can see the upper body of a female deer (we position the camera at a height of five feet). There are glimpses of other deer on subsequent frames. I believe she may have had yearlings with her.

What is  positive about all this is the hard work is paying off in verifying our tactics as being correct. It is just a matter of staying with a long term project to catch images of animals that just don't belong in Florida. A panther or wild cat would be an amazing discovery, as well.

Tomorrow I will show you how she reacted and why I think that is no matter for concern.

Nightfall on the watershed..is Skunkape out here?

You must be prepared to do this type of research. I was not on the first night. On the second day of my overnight expediton I was more prepared. The first night I heard tree breaks and movement. My vidoe camera ran out of juice and I had to just use a still camera. I did miss out on some activity.

The second night, I got down to the waters edge and left a continuous camera for about twenty minutes. I did not want the camera that far out in the jungle after it got total dark. I may not have been able to find it. So I returned, and studied the results. I heard, at least twice, a howl or bark. At the end you can hear one good, clean knock.

The area was more active the night before, but at least I got something.

Proof Of Territorial Behavior ..The Owl and the Bigfoot and lack of comments

Note the configuration of the branches (compare below)
On May 31, 2011 I photographed this owl from across the river at the same campsite I was at last week on my Bigfoot hunt. The same owl came flying in and landed almost exactly on the same tree branch that gives a "birds eye" view of the watershed area (This owl was first spotted by Tom Biscardi who was working with me at the time). What is cool is this how animals will hang in the same area. We could use this little bit of knowledge in our Bigfoot research.

Taken with a Nikon D50 DSLR
The owl in the bottom image was taken on December 8th, 2011. That was seven months after the top images were taken. I believe it was the same owl. Tom Biscardi took a photo of it and featured it on his website searchingforbigfoot.com under the Florida Bigfoot expedition. Now how cool is that!

I don't get any comments on this blog. Why? I get thousands of page views a week, and many repeat visits, but nobody leaves comments. That has got to stop. I don't mean to 'beg' for comments but the purpose of a blog is to get them. I will post more on this blog only when I get a comment. If the next one gets a comment, I move on. If no more comments, no more blog. Take it somewhere else and stop exposing me to this type of treatment. It is not right. I get more then enough traffic to have a good conversation going on. Perhaps I should just talk about what everyone else is doing, like the successful blogs do, and shut up about field research. Show some respect - leave a comment.

Large Game Trail Could yield results.

On the way out to find the animal trial that was made by very large beast, I found this area in the open that looked like something very large has been moving through often and creating much damage. In tracking, you learn that Bigfoot or Skunk Ape will do things in a big way. This area had be trampled like a stampede had moved across.

An area with much activity
I took a picture of fresh break on a tree limb. That has to be new by only a few days. The grass was pushed down and the earth kicked up. It could be pigs, but when I combine this with the nearby trail that is very wide that elephants could go down, I have to consider everything.

Fresh tree break
Keep in mind that this area has not been worked in months because of the heat and the bugs. Animals have had their way back here. Trial cams would be the best way to find out what is leaving this destruction back here. You would not have to leave them up long. I believe this is nightly activity.

The trail I was looking for was only a few hundred feet away. This area is very active with something and I will do what I can in the next few months to find out just what that is.

What is strange is I ran into a forest ranger when he cam by on his ATV and we had a talk. I asked him about the trail up ahead and he said they were not sure what caused that trail. He said hikers have not been out here in months but something was maintaining it.

I felt good about that knowledge and know I am on the right track.

The Butterfly and the Bigfoot

A butterfly garden on a nature trail

I took advantage of the first cold front of the season that made its way into central Florida by going out on a nature trail that I have not been able to access for months because of the bugs and the heat index. I do nature photography and I saw a Monarch butterfly. These insects are not easy to photograph because they will not just stop and pose for you. I had my camera on a tight macro setting and waited for the butterfly to make its way onto a flower and took many stills to make sure I got the one I wanted. Most of the butterfly shooting fails to get a good image.

The prospect of Bigfoot was not far away. The conditions were still very bad with the bugs and the still high humidity. In a couple of weeks it should be just perfect for Bigfoot season in Florida.

I Have 801 Subscribers On YouTube

I am now in the top 2% of all Youtube channels. Most people who have sites on youtube get very little activity. That is what I think is at the heart of all the hate mail I have received over the last two years. Too bad guys. It seems they really like the quality stuff I put out and the quest for skunk ape is really interesting. The success of the project is motivating me to continue on until a discovery is made. I have been marshaling resources and forming a team of experts to help me in my quest for the Florida Sasquatch.

Florida Swamps Are Now Full Of Water And Wildlife

I was out today for the first time in a month. The swamps are full of water and the rivers have crested along some points. I did not see Bigfoot but I got some cool wildlife images. I would like to share them with my viewers.
A rivervine swamp in  Central Florida
One of the things Bigfoot researchers look for is an abundance of water and wildlife. This area had it all. I cold not get too far into it because of how high the water was and the thickness of the vegetation. That is all going to change in the next few months as we enter "skunk ape" season in Florida.

Standing Your Ground In The Bigfoot World

Florida-607
Tim Fasano and Tom Biscardi Ready To Go Deep Into Enemy Territory

Tom and I were planning on working in Florida and got a permit for SWIFMUD to work that area the week after Memorial Day. I told tom a local group works that area and they beleive the skunk ape lives in ther. Tom was on his way.

Tom arrived on Tuesday May 31, 2011. He brought his crew and we met at the Waffle House on SR.51 just as you go into the Richloam tract of the Green Swamp off of I-75. We had breakfast, got to know each other, and Tom showed me some photos of them inn the field in Arkansas. We were soon off to the work area.
Florida-610
Biscardi and Fasano searching the area we will work at night
One of the things that tom likes to do is search the night work area in the morning to see if there is evidence of wildlife. there is a large open area about halfway to the camp that gives you line-of-site to the horizon. It is the rare treeline that is now your target. We began looking for animal signs. We found some, including may tracks of deer and coyote. We set up camera traps and we would return at night to bait them and set up more at the actual campsite.

We went the three miles deep into this area to where the campsite is along the river. Biscardi spotted an owl on a tree limb on the other side of the river. I took a good video of this. You should have seen Tom smile. It was as if this 'sighting' was worth the trip. There was, however, a different kind of sighting that I was hoping for later that night. I was excited and had been waiting for this for a long time.
Florida-623
The Owl At The Campsite along the river
A research group with decades of experience was down here in Florida and wanting too work with me. I could learn alot from them. They also had state of the art thermal and night optics that I would be able to use for the first time. I had come along way since I started and I was glad to finally be able to work with people who would put their egos aside, and be real men.

Tom and I saw wild boar, wild turkey, we found buck tracks and spotted an owl at the campsite - It was a very large one. There seemed to be a good abundance of animals in the area. We would latter at night spot several coyotes in the large prairie that is in there.   That was by using the FLIR and aiming it along the tree line.

This is when you have to be very patient and just wait for something to happen. The first time I used it, I thought Bigfoot would walk out of the woods in the first five minutes. It was not to be and I learned from the experience. Mitch stood ground and worked the night optics till the wee hours of the morning with no real results. That is just the way it goes in this kind of research.
Florida-656
Tim and David baiting at night in the Green Swamp
When we went in at night we used peanut butter and canned fish to rub on the trees all through this Green Swamp tract. David Hoes came along. David is a good guy with an open mind. He was sceptical at first but he can testify that their was no hoaxing going on. Tom and I found what we thought was a footprint. David did not agree. Cool. That is why I wanted him on the expedition. He was a calm voice of reason. I took many videos which you can find on my YouTube channel..fasanotampa.

The camera traps yielded results, I am sure. The agreement I had with Tom Biscardi was that I could take all the videos I wanted but he would keep and own all that he took. We had a handshake and that was all I needed to know how honorable the man was. I know he has images taken in the dark from the Green Swamp that he is keeping for himself. Good for Tom.

The sad fact is we did not find the skunk ape. I believe this area has been worked over by local researchers. I was told decades ago there were herds of migrating deer in the area. They have now left because of Bigfoot researchers call blasting. It scares them and they leave, so does the big hairy guy as well. There are better areas we will work next time.

Learning A Few Things From Tom Biscardi

Tom Biscardi has been doing Bigfoot research since the early 1970's. He knows a lot and can teach me a few things because he knows much about animals and the tracks they leave. I know he is a controversial figure in Bigfoot but the man does know some things. He showed me what a deer buck print looks like. I have seen them many times, but when you work alone, you have nobody to ask. Tom believes the best place to set up night optics is on a prairie with a clear view to the horizon especially when you have multiple animal tracks leading into the area. The area we found was about halfway to the camp, still a mile and a half away. If Bigfoot follows the animals, this has to a passing through area. What we found after sunset should be good.

Fasano and Biscardi in the Florida Green Swamp West Track Looking at prints
This prairie we finds affords great clear views to the tree line at the horizon. I tell Tom this would be ideal for the night optics cameras we have on the truck. If we give it all night, I am sure we can find something. It is just a matter of being patient. There is plenty of wildlife to interest the swamp ape. Tom agrees.

The tree line is almost to the horizon..a great line of sight for night optics
I suspect his area has been worked by local research groups but we will use infrared and thermal image equipment. I am very excited at this point about the prospects. I can't wait until tonight.

Rob and Mitch recorded the area

With the bobcat and deer tracks we saw and the pigs that were grunting in the distance, it was obvious that this was a very active area at night. The search was over, this would be were we work tonight....one of the places. The camp down by the river was looking good for our thermal and trail cam gear.

Tom Biscardi Shows Up In Florida

Tom said he and his guys would be at the exit of I-75 and SR 50 on Tuesday morning and they showed up right on time. We went to the Waffle House to get some breakfast and get acquainted meeting. I showed Tom the area on the map I had picked out based on years of working it and what other Bigfoot field researchers had said. We were soon off on our way down 471 headed for the target area.

He had a good group of guys working with him and the plan for this morning was to go into the area and find a good spot for night operations. When we arrived at the gate, Tom did a little intro for the documentary he is filming and gave me credit for finding this good looking spot. He liked it because much of it looked impenetrable with lots of growth.

We were soon on our way down the dirt road and soon spotted wildlife and prints going into an area with a wide open prairie. There was no doubt that this was the spot, so we checked it out and began deploying the trail cams for the night. The area had lots of watter and vegetation which should make it a good habitat.

They wanted to get some rest and meet back with me one hour before sunset. I will report back latter.

Look At An Area Of Interest

I spent Tuesday out in the area where the attack happened.  There was a cypress swamp (now a little dry) area on the other side of the Palmettos where the coyote came out of.  If you listen the the video below, you will hear more than one thing running around. This seems to be a very good area, and will be the site of much future investigation.
This is an exclusive video not to be found on YouTube!

Chops And Sausages With Peppers And Onions

I found this print on the way out to the Fasano photo area. You can tell by the side dew claws that this is a ferral pig. I later found an image of a pig when I looked at my videos on my computer. I had no idea he was there, he seemed to be under the brush and eating grass and roots. I smell a cookout coming on! When the Spanish came to Florida, they brought their pigs with them. They used them as a food source when at sea they are good eating. Many of them got loose and they now have a breeding population of over a million in the Gulf Region...some estimate that many alone in Florida and 3-4 million along the Gulf Of Mexico. The law offers them no protection, they are an invasive animal. Only migratory animals are protected under Florida law. Lets light the fire!
To bad the oil is coming and we may not be able to do that anymore. I am very worried about that and our way of life.
