Dave Shealy and friends

This was taken at the Skunk Ape museum in south Florida. It seems many Bigfoot people have gone down there to meet Dave. He seems like a cool guy. This winter, Kevin and I need to get down there. I want my picture taken with him.

"Kevin Come In!'

I had just heard something moving in the swamp. The problem was Kevin and the guys were a mile up the road checking out an eye shine report. This was right after sunrise and I wanted Kevin to know I was going in. I got a video of something moving. It was a very large hog. Kevin also said they had spotted a deer. Looks like an active area.

Matt Moneymaker will never find Bigfoot

FINDING BIGFOOT will never find Bigfoot. I am watching the Four Corners show and again they refuse to get off the forest roads at night. Why? You howl but refuse to go INTO the woods. Are you a pussy? We take the forest roads TO GET INTO AREA. Then, we go INTO THE WOODS. What is wrong with Matt Moneymaker? Do they really want to find Bigfoot? Do they need lessons? I would be willing to teach. This photo is our team in route to area on the forest road. Then, we GET AFTER IT. MM stop jerking our chains. With your resources, find Bigfoot or go home. As we say in the south
..shit or get off the pot..
I suggest his camera crew defect and come to Florida. My boys will show the goods with no "did you hear that."

"Sunrise with Sasquatch"

The team met at 4:30 am to head out into the swamp. Kevin was testing his photo equipment while Nick was ready to go.

This is Rob Robertson, the author of "Legend Tripping" about Bigfoot and UFO searching.

This is a night vision scope image. It is completely dark but we can still see everything. After we packed gear. We headed for the Green Swamp in search of Bigfoot.

Sunrise in the swamp expedition

We will hold our monthly "Sunrise in the Swamp" this Saturday morning beginning at 4:30 am. This is considered the best time because of animal activity and Skunk Ape feeding. The area is dangerous, and not for the faint of heart. Stay tuned for a complete report on this event.

Florida Bigfoot hunters rock out!

Kevin Thomas Kehl and Stacy Brown Jr are both Florida Sasquatch hunters. They both play lead guitar in bands. They are both friends and research buddies. Get involved in Bigfoot, and meet interesting people. Kevin's band is playing Saturday night on the beach in Sarasota Florida. It is a Christian rock jam.

The Green Swamp and wildlife

This is an area in the Green Swamp where Kevin and I have got visuals on most wildlife. This area is always active and during the Bigfoot expedition last week, it was no letdown. Kevin saw four bucks and they did not run. He had video and should post it soon. This area will be our next Deep Skunk trail cam deployment area.

Tim in action
Tim Fasano makes it to Blackwater Creek being filmed by Kevin Thomas Kehl. That was a fun day for everyone. This was about the 4 mile mark and I was still keeping up a good pace. That would change on the outside loop back to the cars. I was tired.

Robert Robinson leads us through snake waters

Rob Robinson expert on Florida hiking
Robert Robinson teaches and guides us in a Bigfoot hunt. This is Rob wading barefoot in tall grass and swamp. There are vipers in this water that can kill you! The water is black with no visibility. Bigfooting is not for everyone. Got it. You can even see Kevin Thomas Kehl — with Robert Robinson.

The water is black and you cannot see. You have to feel  your way around so a viper does not get you!
Rob explains how to survive out in the swamps
I would not want to be with anyone other then Kevin and Rob out here. These guys are the best and they will get you through it.
The only point were we felt we could safely ford this creek

The bridge to Bigfoot

This bridge leads into a wildlife area. There are no trails and you must bushwack your way. This is were I found this print five years ago. BFRO investigated a sighting near here, as well

New trail cam images

These are images from trail cam retrival over the weekend. Lots of wildlife out in this track. For a 16 day test run, this area is very promising. It is off the hook with stuff going on out there.

Survivorman Bigfoot

I am home watching Les Stroud and Tod Standing searching for Bigfoot. Stroud would make an awesome footer and it seems they have gone to lengths to make sure Standing does not upstage the star. I like this episode and has more pace then the Finding Bigfoot show. Todd seems like a cool dude.

Stacy Brown Jr Bigfoot recreation

Finding Bigfoot recreated the Stacy Brown Jr footage shot in the Florida panhandle with Bobo as the stand in. The thing they filmed that night was giant and was about 8 feet tall. I believe this is proof the Sasquatch is in the south. Stacy's film seems to be authenticated.

Chuck Prahl has passed away

Chuck Prahl has passed away. He will be missed. He was a Bigfoot radio host, blogger, and a good guy. Those familiar with him know he spoke his mind. He certainly did with me. Even still, I had tremendous respect for him. I am so sorry to hear he has died. He had a wonderful family and wife. Remember them in your prayers. Take care Chuck. You will be missed.

A good look at the structure

We determined that the structure we found was man made. Its still kind of cool that in the middle of a swamp, someone built this. Why? Poachers?

Kevin believes it is newer, and not part of something made decades ago. Interesting.

Wear orange in the jungle

Tim exploring the swamp jungle of Florida
I don't know if Sasquatch sees in color or black and white. I do know that hunters see in color and I don't want some drunk guy with a gun thinking I am a deer. So, I wear an orange camp. In this case, a vintage Tampa Bay Buccaneer cap. I know I also wear a camo shirt. So, as Obama says, "sue me." Kevin also wears this cap and I could not recommend it enough. In fact, during hunting season (not poaching season) it would be wise to wear an orange vest.

Out of the forest

Our crew heard strange howls coming from within the forest. Their reaction is clear..they heard sometime near that structure. I have no way if knowing what it was. It was far away, and audible. It soon died out and we did not hear it anymore.

Kevin and Robert are no strangers to the woods. Robert is retired army and has been on two reality tv shows because of his cryptid experience. Great guy in great shape.

This downed tree is something people often shoot from a distance and try to pass it off as Bigfoot. Its a blobsquatch.
It does look kind of spooky. Always ask for video.

Getting closer to the swamp structure

Rob Robinson is retired military and he was being cautious to state what this structure was. I don't think it was Bigfoot related but it was strange.

In the swamp, you don't expect to see this. It may be what is left of something more complicated. A hunter blind from long ago? We were not sure. It was the swamp location that did not add up.

Stacy Brown Jr and the Myakka Bigfoot hunt

Stacy and Matt headed toward the tree line on the other side of the Savannah
after setting the footprint cast
Have you ever had one of those days you will never forget? I have. I had an opportunity Saturday to work with a true professional in the field of Bigfoot - Stacy Brown of Florida - and it could not have been a better experience. He lead an outing into the main Savannah of Myakka River State Park where there had been a recent Skunk Ape sighting and the shooter was with us on the trip. Steve Kulls always says boots on the ground investigation is needed for all Bigfoot sighting claims. That is what we were doing. The area was loaded with prints. So while we waited for it to dry, we went deep into the wood line on the other side and along a power line system before making our way back to the print cast that had settled enough for Stacy to remove it from the ground.
Stacy mixing the casting material
Now I don't know what the final result of the casting will be. Stacy will determine if its more human then Bigfoot. There are clear differences in both. For example, the footprint below is from a member of our party. They left it on the bank of the Myakka river before crossing. You can tell just by looking at it that is human and not a Bigfoot. That's an important distinction.

The toxic mixture

The casted print

It takes about two hours in the low humidity and hot temps of Flroida for the print to dry. That is why you can head out on a large front and do more research as you  make your way back to the print. You cannot always cast prints. They won't set well in water or with lots of grass or roots. Again, this can be hard work and Stacy seems more then up too the task.

Stacy setting up
We left the area where the print had been cast and headed for the tree line on the far side of the Savannah. The area was loaded with animal trails and we did find what looked like a Sasquatch hunting blind. That was beyond cool. Something very large was making prints a pushing down the sawgrass out here and it was not just pigs. Stacy measured another one to be 15" which now seems to be the standard. In the photo below you can see how far we are from the main road. It would be very hard for anyone to see us at this spot.

The Blackwater Creek Bigfoot hunt

Tim Fasano and Rob Robinson
I have always wanted to work with Florida's Rob Robinson. Rob is a Bigfoot researcher who has written a book on the subject, and has recently been featured on the History Channel on Monsters and Mysteries. I finally got my chance Saturday as Kevin, Rob, and I met at the trail head to BlackWater creek. It was a warm morning, being the day after the Forth of July. I had taken the day off from work and I was ready for a great day 'squatching.
Kevin photo bombing our selfie
Rob pulled up and we introduced each other. Kevin showed up on time and we went over the objective of the mission. The main goal was to make the four mile hike out the to creek without much shade. We knew it was going to be hot, so we set out just after the sun rose on a beautiful day.
Rob and Kevin headed out with the Florida sun rising

&Florida sunThere was some obstacles to cross. There has been a lot of rain and some of the trails were underwater. There was no choice but to cross or go back.

When we made it to the creek, we found someone else's trail cam out there. That is why I decided to not put the trail cam there. I felt there was too much risk of it being found. We found their's; they may find ours.
Group photo after we made it to the creek.

The creek was beautiful and had a rapid current. In fact, it travels to the Hillsborough River Rapids. Kevin believes canoeing is the best way to get to a remote area to camp and deploy the trail cams. That would be a fun trip. Not to many people go back there.

Kevin and Rob discuss what's next, and enjoy the river.

Rob imagines the possibility.posted from Bloggeroid

The hike had no elevation but it was hot from the direct Florida sun on a July day. Kevin and Rob are experienced hikers and I needed them to gin me up for the trip. I could not have been with better guys. Bigfoot research requires a lot of work. You can see how far off the horizon is. Getting back was going to be tougher.

We were trying to get to the next tree line to deploy the trail cam but I was getting tired. I could not wait for the next tree line. I was overheated and needed to rest. In route Kevin found a rain measurement device put there by the forestry department. It showed there had been 2 inches of rain recently.

I am cramping because I did not bring enough water. Rob lent me some and that helped. At this point, I forget about the trail cam and just wanted to get back to the trailhead. The rest felt good. I could have camped there.

Back at the trailhead with some great guys.

OUTTAKE - Kevin with the hawk feather in his head dress. He may have found a new look. This was absolutely a great day, one of the best I've had in Bigfoot.
