NIGHT OPS TACTICAL Green Swamp

Halloween is the perfect time of year to kick start the Skunk Ape season in Florida. It is the beginning of the cool weather and it's migratory season for the cryptids. Our best evidence has consistently been found in the Fall and Spring migratory range. Go to www.enigmaticanomalies.com and www.floridabigfootinvestigators.com for more info. Kevin Thomas Kehl produced and edited the TV version of this. He did a great job and check out his sites.

The "Bigfoot Blues" campfire jam fest

This is Stevie Strings and Jeff Cook getting down at the Bigfoot expedition this weekend. For you folks that are armchair Bigfoot researchers, you don't know what you are missing. It was fun for all.

Eyeshine looking at us on the river rapids

Tim headed toward the rock base
We went on an overnight for the purpose of getting to this river rapids where the BFRO investigated a sighting a few years ago. Our approach was to go at night because eye shine would be easy to spot with our new 280 lumen's flashlights. The hard part was getting down the side of the limestone formations here at Hillsborough River State Park. We were not disappointed because a whole lot of stuff was looking at us.

Recorded howls in the Florida swamp

I recorded these howls in a state controlled watershed at night. This was the same area I offered to take Matt Moneymaker into on this same date three months ago ( I never heard from him). He would now have great howls for his show. It was the beginning of migration season and the permanent population wad getting excited about their friends return. I recorded several on this video.

Strange audio in the Green Swamp

Kevin on the night trail
Teri stayed back at camp and radioed that she heard a strange sound. First, it sounded like metal. Then, I heard something crashing in the distance. Kevin, thought it may be a passing train in the distance, near Dade City. After looking at everything, I believe what we where hearing were Sasquatches moving through the forest. They do move things out of their way and I thought I heard a tree collapse. We have worked this area before and we have heard similar things.

We have found trees on the ground many times. Most Bigfoot researchers have noted such things. I believe they keep their distance and totally know how to avoid us just walking up on them. However, they are not perfect. Any animal can, and will, make a mistake. That is how people have been able to get fleeting glimpse images of them. This work is hard and very time consuming but it must be done.

Will a bonfire draw Bigfoot in at night?

My campfire last month
One of the things I do during night Bigfoot hunting is light a good bonfire. I  have been told that it may make Bigfoot curious and he will come to check it out. That may depend on what he associates it too.

It could mean food, but I have never heard of a Bigfoot coming into someones camp raiding it for food. I have heard of them coming into a camp at night after everyone has turned. Maybe researchers should fake going to bed then be on the lookout for something scavenging the camp. Having a camera trained at the fire may be the ticket.

I am only guessing for I have tired the bonfire but am unsure if it has done anything. It has allowed me to cook meat and vegetables over the fire. That is always a good thing. Bigfoot hunting can work up a good appetite.

December Bigfoot Expedition is launched

A view of the swamp from the forest road leading out to camp
I received a permit from SWIFMUD to go into a very primitive area that overlooks a closed, if not, forbidden zone of the Green Swamp. I was hoping to be alone and I was not disappointed. I was alone at the camp and that meant I could research my way without any interruption.

The 40,000 acre tract is now mostly swamp after plentiful summer rains. This is good. The swamp ape needs swamp to survive. I took many photos and videos on the first day to show people what the environment is like now in the Green Swamp.

I am at the midway point of all this and the weather has been crazy. We had record highs yesterday of over 83 degrees, tonight, it will be in the 40's. This is difficult to deal with, but expected in Florida this time of year.

A large campfire to draw skunk ape into camp
Last night I recorded clear tree breaks in the forbidden zone, and a howl that sounded more like Matt Moneymaker then anything. My video camera seems to have picked all of this up.

I can't tell you have scared I am. I have not been sleeping much at night. There is too much going on.

With the right type of equipment, the source of that howl could be located and found. It could take weeks or months for dedicated researchers to do this. You would have to have the time and the money. Things that right now are in short supply for me.

Ocala National Forest Expedition Is ON

Tim Fasano In Ocala National Forest
My team is on its way to Ocala into a deep section of the National forest. This is a broad area, and good luck in trying to find us. We will be there until Sunday. Ocala was the home of a confirmed 'Sasquatch' sighting, along with prints casted by forest rangers in 1948. The clear prints were 18' long and made at the time of several sighting reports.

We will be on the edge of a wilderness preserve. I am afraid to say more. Just keep coming back to this blog and you will be informed about everything.

Our day operations will be late week, with everything leading too the night explorations on Friday and Saturday. If we don't find Bigfoot, we will still have much fun. We have lots of food and the weather will be much cooler to sit around the campfire and tell scary stories. You can't beat that.

I am very committed in the next few months to exploring much of the state of Florida that I have not been able to get too. I am very excited about this.

Night Optics During Florida Bigfoot Search

After the sun has set it is important to get a reading on light sources. This is the most critical time out in field when natural and artificial light blend for a possible discovery. Technology, I believe, is what will assist in the final Bigfoot find. The insects are still very bad in Florida near the rivers and swamps, and any body of water.

Bigfoot FLIR 30 Minutes After Dark

I was coming back from a swamp area where I had been all day. I had heard activity all day but did not see anything. After the sunset I used this camera to scan the tree line because I thought something was dogging me behind the trees. The FLIR says no. Heat can be seen from the sky and the surface of grass and trees but nothing in the tree line. I really need to get my own FLIR. I don't have the 40 grand that you would need to get the model they use on Finding Bigfoot. There are less expensive models but you get what you pay for. I still think there is something there.

Standing Your Ground In The Bigfoot World

Florida-607
Tim Fasano and Tom Biscardi Ready To Go Deep Into Enemy Territory

Tom and I were planning on working in Florida and got a permit for SWIFMUD to work that area the week after Memorial Day. I told tom a local group works that area and they beleive the skunk ape lives in ther. Tom was on his way.

Tom arrived on Tuesday May 31, 2011. He brought his crew and we met at the Waffle House on SR.51 just as you go into the Richloam tract of the Green Swamp off of I-75. We had breakfast, got to know each other, and Tom showed me some photos of them inn the field in Arkansas. We were soon off to the work area.
Florida-610
Biscardi and Fasano searching the area we will work at night
One of the things that tom likes to do is search the night work area in the morning to see if there is evidence of wildlife. there is a large open area about halfway to the camp that gives you line-of-site to the horizon. It is the rare treeline that is now your target. We began looking for animal signs. We found some, including may tracks of deer and coyote. We set up camera traps and we would return at night to bait them and set up more at the actual campsite.

We went the three miles deep into this area to where the campsite is along the river. Biscardi spotted an owl on a tree limb on the other side of the river. I took a good video of this. You should have seen Tom smile. It was as if this 'sighting' was worth the trip. There was, however, a different kind of sighting that I was hoping for later that night. I was excited and had been waiting for this for a long time.
Florida-623
The Owl At The Campsite along the river
A research group with decades of experience was down here in Florida and wanting too work with me. I could learn alot from them. They also had state of the art thermal and night optics that I would be able to use for the first time. I had come along way since I started and I was glad to finally be able to work with people who would put their egos aside, and be real men.

Tom and I saw wild boar, wild turkey, we found buck tracks and spotted an owl at the campsite - It was a very large one. There seemed to be a good abundance of animals in the area. We would latter at night spot several coyotes in the large prairie that is in there.   That was by using the FLIR and aiming it along the tree line.

This is when you have to be very patient and just wait for something to happen. The first time I used it, I thought Bigfoot would walk out of the woods in the first five minutes. It was not to be and I learned from the experience. Mitch stood ground and worked the night optics till the wee hours of the morning with no real results. That is just the way it goes in this kind of research.
Florida-656
Tim and David baiting at night in the Green Swamp
When we went in at night we used peanut butter and canned fish to rub on the trees all through this Green Swamp tract. David Hoes came along. David is a good guy with an open mind. He was sceptical at first but he can testify that their was no hoaxing going on. Tom and I found what we thought was a footprint. David did not agree. Cool. That is why I wanted him on the expedition. He was a calm voice of reason. I took many videos which you can find on my YouTube channel..fasanotampa.

The camera traps yielded results, I am sure. The agreement I had with Tom Biscardi was that I could take all the videos I wanted but he would keep and own all that he took. We had a handshake and that was all I needed to know how honorable the man was. I know he has images taken in the dark from the Green Swamp that he is keeping for himself. Good for Tom.

The sad fact is we did not find the skunk ape. I believe this area has been worked over by local researchers. I was told decades ago there were herds of migrating deer in the area. They have now left because of Bigfoot researchers call blasting. It scares them and they leave, so does the big hairy guy as well. There are better areas we will work next time.

Bigfoot Comes Out At Night

Everything I have ever read says that Bigfoot is a nocturnal animal. That is why in the last month, many of my outings have been at night or just before sunset. I took advantage of a planned camping trip over the Fathers Day weekend to explore at night for Bigfoot or the Skunk Ape in Florida.
Searching for skunk ape late night miles into a swamp
We had reserved five campsites up along the Hillsborough River where there was a documented sighting ten years ago at the apex of the Florida Trail in a swamp area. I have been to the spot during the day and, now, had to find my way under the cover of night. This was a pretty scary thing. I had no GPS, only a flashlight. The heat index was over 110 and the bugs were out in force. I have been waiting for a change to do this and I was amped.

At the sighting area, I found no real evidence with just a strong spotlight. The problem was I go lost. I was turned around and being under thick vegitation, I was disoriented and not sure of what direction to go since I was way off trail. I finally saw the full moon that had only risen a few hours before and could now orient myself. You need the right gear to do this and not people who are wanting to run off to the Holiday Inn or something.

A very welcome site
I am very excited about the direction my research is taking and look forward to the future with great anticipation. I should be able to upgrade my equipment and explore new things. Come along for the ride.

Finding Bigfoot: Where Science Meets Entertainment For What End?

I did not watch the first episode of Finding Bigfoot. I thought all they would do is phony it up. I taped it last night because they were in Florida, and considering they drove within 8 miles of my house to there, at least I could be polite enough to watch.

Let me blunt. I like James "Bobo" Fay, he is beyond cool and reminds me of Tony Saragusa of the NFL. He has that smart ass wit, and real charisma. Ranae Holland is a scientist and hot in a school teacher sort of way. Matt Moneymaker makes my 'gaydar' go off and Bobo must know it for his comment "anything you want bigboy." Cliff Barackman seems to have been marginalized because he is two real and objective, and does not meet the needs of the producers...WHO ARE INTERESTED IN RESULTS!!!!!!

There were two objects fakes, or best, misrepresentation of thermal evidence with the night optics. Matt Moneymaker walking out to a skinny production assistant they saw on the thermal was wrong for them to do. It undermines all the good work people are doing. They did they same things at the Bridges home during their night operation. Bigfoot research just does not go like that. Oh, the Bridges are just like all Americans they know how to cast prints and know about dermal ridges...just makes me wonder.

Matt Moneymaker walking out to the Florida Skunk Ape?
Why did they not show the "sasquatch" run away. They just had Bobo say it was running off but they did not show it. This was disappointing to me (my tape turned off because I had only set it for 60 minutes..is it a 90m show?). I think this was phony and anyone could have staged it with a good thermal. Sorry, I don't buy it.

Tim Fasano and Tom Biscardi worked together in the Florida swamps just days before this episode aired on Animal Planet. If we are supposed to be hoaxers, and we had the same equipment, why did we not pull this? We did not find shit. Or perhaps, we knew who would believe this crap? I don't.

Tim Fasano And Tom Biscardi Are Teaming Together To Work The Green Swamp Of Florida

The world famous Tom Biscardi and his team of six experts have hooked up with Tim Fasano (YouTube Guy) to work the Green Swamp of Florida and the Richloam track with high-tech night optics and computer radar imagaing. This will be ground breaking for this area for this type of gear has not been used in the areas we are going into.

Animal Planet this week will kick off a six part series called Finding Bigfoot starting in Florida. We are getting the jump on them, and will show you the "real" Florida, not the stuff they fake on TV. We have allready collected fantastic evidence, and will find more when we begin night operations at four corner and west Polk county. Stay tuned. As soon as I can get back to an internet connection in range of my wireless, I will fill you in.

We Will look For Evidence

The type of wetlands we will be in
Our team outing in central Florida should yield many good things. Many guys have been involved in plans for this. We have people coming in from all over the country. I am really looking forward to meeting and working with this team in our search for Bigfoot in the Green Swamp

Team Members Needed In A Deep Field Operation In Central Florida

It is no longer hunting season and we believe the Florida Sasquath is on the move. I am forming a team that will go out on monthly expeditions all through Florida from the panhandle to the Green Swamp to the Everglades. You don't have to go to every event, but good members are needed. The first event is May 31-June 2 in the a swamp area. I can't  give the location because I have five members who are ready to go and we don't want anyone showing up who is not on team. I need two people with research experience who can come to an event that is using very high-tech gear including an infared camera with thermal am image radar. Please contact me if you are interested.

Florida Bigfoot Team

I have had a big response to the November - March Bigfoot expeditions I have planned for people wanting to come along and look for the skunk ape. Since there seems to be much interest in this, I will now have a camping/backpacking outing once a month and a 'day tip' once a month. These will be on the second and forth weekend of every month. I have also changed the name of my blog to the "Florida Bigfoot Team." It is time I start working with those that much experience in areas that I don't. This way we can learn from each other and grow as a team.

I have applied for a permit into the Green Swamp area to camp over the Memorial Day Weekend. Maybe we will come away with our own Memorial Day Bigfoot video!  How cool would that be? The trip would be planed from Friday night to Sunday morning. I will have more details as soon as I get the reservation confirmed. Now, I just need 3 people who have experience in camping, and who have gear, that would attend.

The Memorial Weekend Trip will be in one of these Camp sites (pending)
Send me an email or message on my YouTube site if you are interested. If nothing else, this can be a fun camping trip among new friends. I like to keep things low key. Bring you gear, and lets have some fun.

Their Footprints Are Giving Them Away

Casted and pulled from the swamp at night
It is believed that Bigfoot or the Florida Skunk Ape is migratory based on weather just like many other animals. When it gets hot in the south, they are on the move. The bugs are bad and the conditions are just not good.

However, when they get old and lets face it, they don't have the energy to keep moving. They get comfortable with an area. There is food and water and shelter. They are just like us - they don't feel good and they just want to stay put. What they don't realize is their footprints are giving them away.

One of the best things a researcher can do is to look for footprints. In the two years I have been in the swamp, it is the areas that I have been finding footprints in that yield other types of evidence, such as, vocals and possible sightings. I have been charged from the brush but it is only in areas that I have found prints. In the areas where there are none, I get no activity. So I tend to focus my research activities in the footprint areas.

Coyotes Chasing Something Large: A Possible Skunk Ape

I was near the Green Swamp area Saturday night on an operation to find the Florida Skunk Ape. I had seen something earlier moving across the swamp that was light in color. I set up a stationary tripod to get a better look at it. While I was standing behind it, the howls and the footsteps got very loud.  The thing came out of the Palmettos and was charging me. I don't know what they were chasing, but it can be seen moving through the brush at about six feet in height.
This video is not on YouTube at this point. This is a very important research video into the existence of the Florida Skunk Ape.
