Swamp Night Operations

I have not gone on many night operations in search of the Florida skunk ape, but I had an opportunity Saturday night to try out some new equipment and search an area that I have been in during the day. The riverviine swamp area was full of water since we have been getting lots of rain. Something was out there, but I really needed my spot light. However, the police maglight was perfect, when the animal that had been howling on one of the YouTube videos, came running out of the woods and damn near got me. Yes, I did get it on video. I have just not released it yet.
