Apalachicola National Forest Is Home For A Bigfoot

All the indications point to the Apalachicola National Forest as a PRIME area for the skunk ape or Bigfoot...a large Southern Sasquatch. A continuous swamp exist between Florida and the Louisiana/Arkansas Bayou. The largest forest between these locations is the Apalachicola forest. It is one of the largest in the United States and is desolate, with many places for this animal to hide from man.

In descending order of forest land area it is located in parts of LibertyWakullaLeon, and Franklin counties. [1] The forest is headquartered in Tallahassee, as are all three National Forests in Florida, but there are local Forest ranger district offices located in Bristol and Crawfordville.

  1. My son and I have been looking for over 6yr now and we have been close, foot prints screems, smells, dead animals stufed up in trees to high for a man to put them. We are the Apalachicola Skunkape Society or A.S.S. for short.

  2. December of 2007 my family decided to do Christmas at St. George Island. I got directions from MapQuest, and from northern Louisiana, it had me go through Apalachicola Forest. It was about 5 in the evening, we passed no other cars on the road and felt like we were in a desolate area. About 100 ft in front of us, something stood on the side of the road and then quickly crossed the road, I say quickly as in not running but had long enough legs that it only took at most 3-4 steps. I told my boyfriend to slow down, (I locked the doors, we are in the middle of no where with no one else on the road) We almost came to a stop creeping by where it crossed the road, and you couldnt see where it went. the forest didnt have any underbrush for a couple hundred yards from the road and was pretty thin through there. It still puzzles me to this day, what exactly did I see.

I want to know more about this sighting. I live in Bristol. And have become aware of several first-person sightings locally. Please tell me anything you can about road you were on and distance from town, etc. Any bridges, memorable landmarks?
